OK, so I didn't get as much done during the Tour de Fleece as I wanted to but hey there is always next year.  I actually carded 8 fiber art batts a few days after the TDF was over with and I have been keeping up with my spinning as well.  Well here are the last of the TDF photos and I hope you enjoy!

Craft Show!

On Sunday we were at the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum Art Festival in Neenah Wisconsin and it was hot.  Heat index of 103!  Our booth was located in a nice shady spot in the morning and there was a cool breeze so that was nice.  This was Jessie and my first real craft show together and it went pretty good.  We sold some fun fibers and brought our wheel to demonstrate our skills.  I was just amazed at the number of people that had not seen someone spin before.  I am glad I got to share that with the festival guests.  I don't remember if I ever saw a sinning demonstration when I was younger but last year for mothers day I saw a spinner at an Angora goat farm and thought I want to do that.  So I did.  Now I am wondering have you seen a spinning demonstration before and if so when?

I'm not spinning as much as I want to.  Instead I am getting ready for a craft show on Sunday, boy is it a lot of work to get everything ready.  I wish I could just spin and spin all day long.  Here is what I got done so far...

Tour de Fleece: Goals and Skein 1

So the Tour de Fleece has begun!  I will be taking a break from my normal post routine to post all of the things I am doing for the Tour de Fleece.  Beside spinning for the Tour I will also be creating batts.  So I hope you will enjoy all of the fiber fun.

My goals for the Tour de Fleece are simple spin for at least 15 minutes a day and complete as many "art yarns" from the Sit and Spin video by Jacey Boggs (insubordiknit).  As far as the Tour de Batt part I plan on carding a dozen batts over the course of the Tour.
